Glorious Janitors

Glorious Janitors formed in 1987 with Dave Burns on vocals and guitar, Mark Nichols on lead guitar, Bob Peterson on bass, and Rick Jenkins on drums. They came up playing the underground circuit, and their first album 'Sweeping the Floor' came out in 1989. That record had 'Baldur's Gate,' which got some radio play and became their best-known song.

They had a few other tracks that stuck around, like 'Belmondo's Theme' and 'Berzerker.' The band kept recording through the early '90s, putting out another album called 'Dustpan Alley' in 1992. They were known for a straightforward rock sound with some heavier riffs and Burns's rough-edged singing.

Their live shows were loud and energetic, which drew a loyal following but also some criticism at the time. They didn't really change their approach much, just kept playing the kind of music they started with. After the mid-'90s, they became less active, though their early material still gets played by fans of that era's guitar rock.
