Godasadog

Godasadog formed in Lisbon in the early 2000s, bringing together musicians with different backgrounds. Their sound draws from Portuguese folk and electronic experimentation, though they're not easily categorized. The single "Agora" gives a sense of their approach, with its atmospheric quality and reflective tone.

Their first album, A Torre, arrived with a raw, introspective feel. Later records like Evocatio and A Revolta do Almirante moved into darker, more experimental territory. The lineup includes Mário Lobo on vocals and guitar, Jorge Coelho on bass and vocals, Luís Nastas on drums and electronics, and Rodrigo Costa handling synthesizers and samples.

Their unconventional style has sometimes drawn criticism from more traditional quarters, and their lyrics have occasionally stirred discussion for their somber themes.
