Nightmare

You took a look around and there you saw

Everything you ever asked for.....

Then you woke up

And now another tortured day of seeing

Somebody else doing everything that you always wanted

Yet you're uninvited

Wake up, you should know better then that

Sit down, speak when you're spoken to

You're much too young to have opinions

I thought growing up was supposed to be fun

But this is such a Nightmare

Honey whatcha doing if you don't care

Then why you gotta go and ruin everything

Are you satisfied...so if i shut my eyes...

then maybe this will only be a nightmare

And now you think you thought you saw her there

With argyle knee-highs and contrasting colors in her hair

And now another tortured night of knowing

whispered words and candles glowing without you there....

life's so unfair

Wake up, know what you're fighting for

Time won't ease up on the timid

so stand up and run, you've got your gun
