Their sound drew from reggae influences like Bob Marley and Brazilian artists such as Gilberto Gil, though they developed their own approach rather than following any single template.
The band's original lineup included Edu Casanova on vocals and guitar, Marcelo Jacob on bass, Dodo on drums, and Antonio Carlos on keyboards. Antonio Carlos left in 2008, and after trying different keyboardists, Guga Mendes joined as a permanent replacement.
Their 2002 album 'Febre' included the track 'Fevereiro,' which became widely known in Brazil. Other songs like 'Flor' and 'Luau' also appear among their most recognized work.
