Gramofônicos formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with Fábio Serra on vocals and guitar, Gustavo Drummond on guitar, Rodrigo Mantovani on bass, and Felipe de Paula on drums. They played rock, funk, and soul.
Their 2005 debut album 'Daqui Pra Frente' got attention in Brazil. The title track and songs like 'Baiana' and 'Esqueça As Mágoas' had melodies that stuck with people.
Drummer Felipe de Paula left in 2007, and Duda Machado joined. They put out 'Gramofônicos 2' that same year, then 'Fantástico Mundo' in 2011.
