Granger Smith was born in Dallas, Texas in 1989 and grew up with country music influences like George Strait and Hank Williams Jr. He started playing guitar around age ten. His first album came out in 2010, followed by others like 'Dirt Road Driveway' in 2012 and 'Remington' in 2015.
Some of his songs that caught on include 'Backroad Song' and '5 More Minutes.' He also wrote 'Hate You Like I Love You' and '19 Forever.' In 2018, he released the album 'When the Good Guys Win.'
Smith faced criticism in 2019 for using a racial slur online, which he apologized for. He's kept recording since then, putting out albums like 'Country Things' in 2020 and 'Dirt Rich' in 2022.
