Grind Mode

Grind Mode came out of Chicago's rap scene as a duo with Dex Osama and Cash God. Their track 'She's So Fly (I'm So High)' got attention for its high-energy delivery, which fit right into the drill sound of aggressive beats and direct lyrics. They put out a mixtape called 'Grind Mode' in 2021, and other singles like 'Too Turnt' and 'Moneybag' kept that same raw approach.

Their lyrics about street life drew some criticism, with accusations that they were promoting violence or drug use. The group denied those claims, but the talk around their music became part of how people heard them. They didn't really shift their style in response, sticking with the same unfiltered perspective that got them noticed in the first place.

Dex Osama handled most of the rapid-fire verses, while Cash God brought a different flow to their tracks. They cited Chicago drill figures like Chief Keef and Young Pappy as influences, working in that tradition without trying to smooth out its edges. The music stayed focused on their immediate experiences, delivered with the kind of energy that doesn't leave much room for polish.
