Their debut album "Seja Bem-vinda Ao Meu Castelo" came out in 2000, and the title track got them wider attention. The song's lyrics about poverty and inequality drew criticism for being too explicit and political.
They kept working and added more Brazilian elements to their sound over time. The group expanded to include other musicians like DJ KL Jay, Marina Gasolina, and Rômulo Fróes. They put out several albums including "Origens" in 2002 and "Água do Céu" in 2006.
