They were part of that period when Brazilian musicians were mixing local rhythms with progressive rock structures, though they never quite fit the mainstream radio formats.
Their 1974 debut album "Grupo Bnova" got attention for how it handled samba and bossa nova alongside more intricate arrangements. Songs like "Ciclo da Vida" and "Correr e Chegar" show that blend clearly, with Ziskind's guitar work and the rhythm section creating something that felt both familiar and exploratory.
By 1976, Leoni and Sussekind had left, leaving Ziskind and keyboardist Walter Villaça to carry on. They kept recording through the 1980s and had a brief reunion in the 1990s, but the lineup changes and shifting tastes meant they never recaptured that initial momentum.
