Grupo Bolero formed in Mexico City in the early 1980s around songwriter and producer Sergio Andrade. Their debut album, "De la Luna al Sol," found an audience with its ethereal ballads, and they followed it with records like "Eclipse" and "Cara a Cara." The band included musicians named Rodrigo, Paloma, and Max.
One of their best-known songs is "Tu Desvario," a duet with singer Sasha Sokol. The group disbanded in the late 1990s amid legal troubles involving Andrade. Some former members reunited briefly in 2015.
