Grupo Botando Pra Sambar formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2004, with Thiago de Carvalho as their frontman. Their name translates to "Putting It Down for Samba," which gives you a sense of their straightforward approach to the genre. They've been playing samba in the city for about twenty years now.
