Grupo Ene formed in 1993 in Madrid. Their debut album 'Corazón Partido' came out in 1995, anchored by the title track that became a hit. The band's lineup included José Luis Perales on lead vocals and guitar, Joaquín Sabina on vocals and guitar, Ricardo Wagner on keyboard and vocals, Pedro Guerra on bass and vocals, and Pancho Varona on drums.
In 2000, Joaquín Sabina left the group. They kept recording after that, putting out albums like 'Reunión' in 2001 and 'Si No Te Encuentro' in 2003. Later releases included 'El Corazón de la Tierra' in 2008 and 'Bailando Con La Vida' in 2016.
José Luis Perales served as the primary songwriter and frontman. The group's catalog spans from their mid-90s start through the 2000s and into the 2010s.
