Grupo Gale

Grupo Gale formed in 1990 with brothers José and Gerardo Galván at the core. They started playing live shows around Mexico, working through early financial limitations while building a local audience. Their debut album 'Sueño Contigo' came out in 1995, featuring the song that would define them for many listeners.

That song was 'El Amor De Mi Vida,' which became their breakout single. Its straightforward lyrics about love and longing connected with people, helping establish the group in regional Mexican music. Other tracks like 'Regresa Pronto' and 'Ya No Te Puedo Amar' followed a similar emotional vein.

The band's lineup included José on vocals and accordion, Gerardo on guitar and vocals, and Julio César Galván on drums. They've recorded more than ten albums over time, and their sound has generally stayed within the traditions of the genre while incorporating some contemporary touches. They've worked with artists like Marco Antonio Solís and Los Tigres del Norte.

In 2010, Grupo Gale had a legal issue with their former label that led to a short break. They returned to recording and touring afterward, playing shows in the United States and Latin America as well as Mexico.
