Grupo Kordas & Kouros formed in São Paulo in 1997 with Kiko Zambianchi on vocals and guitar, Duda Monteiro on guitars and vocals, Ivan Sader on drums, and Caio Mendes on bass. Their debut album came out two years later, with the title track 'Não Dá Mais' becoming a hit across Brazil.
After their initial success, the band faced some internal changes. Ivan Sader left in 2004, and the remaining members put out a second album called 'Mais Que Palavras' in 2006. Their sound shifted over time, incorporating different influences, and they released another album called 'Alma' in 2012.
