Grupo Reunión formed in Mexico City during the mid-1990s. Their song 'Final Feliz' became a hit from their 1998 debut album Reencuentro, helping establish them as a pop band in Mexico.
Carlos Rivera sang lead vocals, Daniel Prado wrote songs and played guitar, Alberto Soria played bass, and Juan Carlos Vargas was the drummer. They released several albums including Promesas in 2000 and Sueños in 2005.
In 2006, the band took a brief break before returning to recording and performing.
