In 1951, they wrote the song "Guarany De Bagé," which became popular with rural audiences. The track's straightforward melody and lyrics about their own name and origins connected with listeners who recognized that regional sound.
Their music was sometimes called too rustic by critics, but they kept playing in that style anyway. Later, Luiz Carlos Saldanha joined on accordion, adding to their sound. They recorded albums like "Caprichos do Destino" in 1957.
