Archive material and source history
Gungrave formed in Japan in 1998, with vocalist Hiroki Morishita and guitarist Shoji Kameda at the start. They put out their first album, "Akaneiro Ga Moeru Toki," in 2002. That title track became their best-known song.
In 2004, the band dealt with some plagiarism accusations around a song called "Reflection," which they denied. The lineup stayed pretty steady with Morishita and Kameda joined by bassist Masashi Ichinose and drummer Makoto Minoura.
They released albums like "Asu e no Tobira" in 2003, "Shikkoku no Hana" in 2005, and "Colors" in 2007. Later records included "Reunion" in 2015 and "Revenant" in 2018. Another track people know is "Clue."
