Guydo formed in 2002 around vocalist and lyricist Guido van der Werve, with bassist Joost van der Broek and drummer Timo van der Veen. They released their debut album 'Ferver' in 2005, which included the title track that became one of their most recognizable songs.
Their sound incorporated elements of electronica and post-rock over time, with keyboardist and violinist Koen van de Wardt joining in 2009. That same year they released the album 'In Between,' followed by several others including 'The Silent Witness' in 2013 and 'Fragments' in 2020.
Van der Werve's lyrics often explored themes of existentialism and mental health. The band maintained a consistent lineup through their recordings, with 'Mundo Girar' appearing among their notable tracks.
