Archive material and source history
Guzz formed in Tijuana in 2009, started by four friends who grew up together: Mauricio Terrazas on vocals and guitar, Sebastián Romero on guitar, Carlos Murguía on bass, and Alejandro Elizondo on drums. They played local shows for a few years before things changed in 2012.
That year they put out their first single, "Quiéreme," and it caught on quickly. The song spread beyond their hometown and gave them a wider audience in Mexico. They followed it with three albums: "Guzz" in 2014, "Xerox" in 2016, and "Carmesí" in 2019.
In 2019, Alejandro Elizondo left the band. Before that, in 2017, there was some noise about their song "No Quiero Verte" and accusations about its chorus, which they denied.
