H-1 was a German synthpop duo from Stuttgart that formed in 1982. The group consisted of Heinz-Josef Braun on vocals and synthesizer and Hermann Breuer on keyboards and programming. Their debut single "Was Ist Liebe?" came out in 1983 and found an audience in Germany with its moody synthesizer arrangements and Braun's plainspoken vocal delivery.
They released several albums through the 1980s and 1990s, including their self-titled 1984 debut, 1986's "Ewige Liebe," and 1990's "Light of Love." The duo disbanded in 2002 but reunited in 2013 for some live shows and a new album.
