Hadise Açıkgöz was born in Antwerp, Belgium to Turkish parents. She first gained attention in 2003 as the winner of the Belgian singing competition 'Idool 2.' Her debut album 'Sweat' came out soon after, featuring the title track and other early songs like 'Hero.'
Her international recognition grew with the 2009 single 'Düm Tek Tek,' which charted well in several countries. She followed with albums like 'Fast Life' in 2011 and 'Tavsiye' in 2014. Other notable songs in her catalog include 'Küçük Bir Yol,' 'Never Trust A Man,' and 'Aşkkolik.'
Outside of recording, she has been honorary president of her hometown football club Sporting Lokeren. Hadise has continued to release music, with 'Küçük Bir Yol' being one of her more recent singles.
