The Boy From Class

I barely knew the boy from class

We didn't talk too much

'Cause I was hiding in the back

And he sat in the front

He was always joking with his friends

A smile on his face

Out of everyone I never guessed

That it would end this way

He was only seventeen

There's so much that he's missed

I just turned 21

And I've barely even lived

That's the hardest part 'cause

I still got my life ahead

And it hurts to think that his is really over

'Cause I keep getting oldеr

So when I heard the news

It really took me by surprise

How somebody as kind as him

Could hurt so much inside
