Half Moon Run formed in Montreal when Dylan Phillips, Isaac Symonds, and Devon Portielje met while studying at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. Their debut album 'Dark Eyes' came out in 2012, with songs like 'Call Me in the Afternoon' and 'She Wants You' getting radio play. They followed it with 'Sun Leads Me On' in 2015, which included the track 'Turn Your Love'.
Their music often deals with themes of love and time passing, heard in songs like 'Nosebleeds' and 'Full Circle'. They've kept releasing albums, including 'Seasons of Change' in 2018 and 'A Blemish in the Great Light' in 2020. The three members share vocal duties, with Phillips on guitar, Symonds on bass, and Portielje on drums.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
