Half the Animal formed in 2010 when singer Oskar Linnros and producer Max Ivory started working together in Stockholm. Their debut single 'Magic' came out in 2014 and got some attention for its moody, atmospheric sound. They followed it with a self-titled album in 2015 and another called 'Built on Sand' in 2018.
Their songs like 'Hi Lo' and 'Babylon' have that same kind of introspective, electronic-tinged feel that 'Magic' established. The band ran into some legal trouble with their label around 2016, but kept making music afterward. They've mostly stayed under the radar since those early releases.
