Hapax formed in 2004 around vocalist and songwriter Amandine Brisse. The group included guitarist Cyril Denis, keyboardist Thomas Poli, bassist Yann Mouhad, and drummer Olivier Cedric. They released their debut album "The Gift of Silence" and followed it with "Hands," which shares its name with one of their better-known songs.
In 2012, Denis left the band and was replaced by guitarist Vincent Bidal. Hapax continued recording, putting out albums like "The Last of Us," "Lumen," and "In Between." Their catalog includes tracks such as "Parallel Words," "Silvery Track," and "The Unfaithful One."
