Hare formed in London in the late 1990s, with Jasper Sinclair on vocals and guitar and Ethan Hayes on drums. They eventually signed with the independent label Sonic Blast. Their debut album 'Echoes of the Void' came out in 2002, and the single 'Rolls Along' became their breakout track.
The band saw several lineup changes over time. Hayes left in 2007 and was replaced by Anya Patel on drums. Bassist Oliver Cohen departed in 2012, with Marcus Jones taking over. They followed their debut with albums like 'The Serpent's Kiss' in 2005.
