Harvey was a Brazilian rock band led by frontman Pepeu Gomes. They released their first album in 1985 and put out records fairly regularly through the 2000s, including a live recording at Rio's Circo Voador in 2007.
Their 1989 album 'Estado Transitório Compulsivo' gave the band its breakthrough. The title track became something of an anthem, and the record pushed them into wider recognition.
Pepeu Gomes was known for being outspoken, which sometimes drew criticism. In 2016, he was arrested over an alleged assault on a hotel employee. The band's lineup included Marcelo Bonfá on drums, Armandinho on bass, and Chico Chico on keyboards and vocals.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
