Hate Forest formed in Ukraine in 1995, started by Roman Saenko on vocals and guitar with Viktor Volkov on drums. Their first album, 'The Curse of Dawn,' came out in 2000. They've put out seven full-length records since then, including 'Towards Eternal Darkness' in 2002 and 'Purity' in 2005.
They've done a live cover of Bolt Thrower's 'Cenotaph.' The band has had different members over time, with Saenko remaining central.
They released 'Confessions of a Serial Killer' in 2010 and 'Days of Perdition' in 2017. Their music tends toward dark themes without much compromise in how they present it.
