Hate Last Song formed in São Paulo in 2006 as a Brazilian metalcore band. Gustavo Gigliotti handles vocals and lyrics, with Bruno Neves on guitar, Marcelo Almeida on bass, and Bruno Fernandes on drums. They put out their first album, 'Liberation,' in 2008, followed by 'On the Edge of Fate' in 2012 and 'The Oracle' in 2015.
In 2010, Gigliotti was arrested for an alleged assault, which disrupted the band's progress for a time. They released 'On the Edge of Fate' after he got out. Their song 'Sorrir Pra Mim' drew accusations of misogyny, though the band has said they address social issues in their work.
They've worked with other musicians, including Elize Ryd from Amaranthe and Trevor Strnad from The Black Dahlia Murder.
