A Gift

From the mountain I see far

Rapine, ruins, cross the world

Brightly burns the morning star

And a future tense is unfurled

Golden glows the dawns first light

Caress the children of the blight

The crops will fail and hearts will rot

When the God of Lamentations be forgot

I am not afraid to die
