Their sound pulled from punk and post-punk, with a dark, fragmented feel. The lyrics were often cryptic, drawing from sources like Baudelaire as much as from bands like Joy Division.

They broke up in 1989, but their records stayed in circulation. Other Slovenian groups, including Niet, have pointed to Haustor's work as an influence. What's left is mostly the music itself, those five albums of tense, industrial-tinged post-punk from a specific time and place.
