A Brazilian band that formed in the late 1990s and kept recording through the 2010s.
For a sense of their early sound, 'Um Cara Legal' is the obvious place. 'Suas Lágrimas Não Combinam Com Você' gives you a later feel.
Hdk's debut album 'Alegria' landed in 2001 with 'Um Cara Legal,' a song that got heavy radio play and introduced their sound. They've maintained a steady output since, with later albums like 'A Revolta dos Dândis Jaspion' in 2011 and 'A Última Sessão de Música' in 2016. Their catalog includes songs like 'Suas Lágrimas Não Combinam Com Você' and 'Setembro,' which show their range beyond that early hit.
The band formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s with Renato Vianna on vocals and guitar, Nando Reis on vocals and bass, Samuel Rosa on guitars, and Lucio Maia on drums. Nando Reis left the following year, and Samuel Rosa took over as lead vocalist. They kept recording through the 2000s and 2010s, putting out albums like 'A Arte de Ser Legal' in 2003 and 'Legião Urbana' from 2008.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
