His debut album came out in 1979, and 'Verão' appeared on a 1982 release. The song's melody and lyrics connected with listeners, making it a seasonal favorite on radio. In the early 1980s, some of his lyrics drew criticism for being too explicit, but he kept making music through that period.
He has worked with musicians like Ronaldo Nagari on guitar, Bruno Faria on bass, and Alexandre Canella on drums. Other albums include 'Reflexos' from 1984 and 'Praia e Sol' from 1986.
