A Hastings band that mixed melodic rock with heavier edges across four albums.
For a good sense of their sound, 'Inside' and 'Kamichi' from 'Night Vision' frame it well, melodic but with some bite.
Their 2002 album 'Night Vision' gave them their best-known work, with songs like 'Inside' showing how they could balance melody with some grit. They never went for much studio polish, which kept their catalog feeling direct and unadorned. That approach gave songs like 'Once And For All' and 'To Die For' a certain no-frills honesty.
They formed in 1995 in Hastings, playing local pubs before releasing their debut 'The Neon Handshake' in 1997. 'Night Vision' arrived in 2002, followed by 'Transmit: Disrupt' in 2007 and two more albums in the 2010s before going on indefinite hiatus in 2019.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
