Helon

Helon formed in 2007 when brothers Thiago and Rafael Raposo started playing with guitarist Pedro Garcia. They came together around a shared interest in indigenous culture, which became central to their music. Their debut album 'Herança' came out in 2012, followed by 'Etérea' in 2015 and 'Qixaba' in 2018.

Thiago handles lead vocals, Rafael plays drums, and Pedro is on guitar. Their sound mixes indigenous rhythms with rock elements, though they've faced some questions about their approach to cultural representation.

They've continued working within this musical framework, using their platform to draw attention to indigenous issues in Brazil. The band keeps performing and recording without much mainstream fanfare, maintaining a steady presence in certain circles.
