In the early 2000s, he formed the band Henrique Correia e Seus Inquilinos and put out two albums. His 2012 release included the song 'Chegou a Hora de Ser o Que Você É,' which became his most recognized work.
Some listeners found his lyrics unconventional or too direct about social matters, but he kept writing about self-acceptance and identity. He has released six studio albums, starting with Seus Inquilinos in 2006.
