Background notes

Archive material and source history

Henry Fiat's Open Sore was a Swedish band that put out five albums between 1995 and 2002, starting with 'Uman' and ending with 'Te Deum'. Their songs had titles like '3.5 Revolution', '666', and 'Born Drunk', and they were sometimes described as horror rock or darkwave.

Johan Edlund sang and played guitar, with Jörgen Granqvist on guitar, Daniel Ekeroth on bass, and Björn Fryklund on drums. Their music was unsettling enough that some people accused them of Satanism, which they mostly ignored.

After the band broke up, Edlund went on to form Tiamat. Their final album came out in 2002, and that was it for Henry Fiat's Open Sore.
