Henry Santos first came to attention as one of the lead singers in the bachata group Aventura, which he co-founded in 1994 with his brother Romeo Santos and others. The group found considerable success with their romantic, upbeat take on the genre.
After Aventura, Santos launched a solo career. His 2011 single "Poquito a Poquito" became a breakout hit, topping charts in several countries. He has released several solo albums, including a self-titled debut in 2011 and "Soy el Mismo" in 2017.
His band includes guitarist Luis Hidalgo, bassist Edwin Almonte, and keyboardist Jorge Portorreal. Other songs in his catalog include "Cuando Te Toco," "Bésame Siempre," and "Una Mentirita."
