Hepcat

Hepcat started playing in Los Angeles in the early 1990s, with Greg Lee on vocals, Alex Désert on guitar, Ricky Quezada on bass, Trevor Bright on drums, and Paul Ramirez on keyboards. They put out their first album, 'Out of Nowhere,' in 1993. A few years later came 'Scientific' in 1996 and 'Right on Time' in 1997.

Songs like 'Goodbye Street' and 'Police Woman' show what they were doing, mixing reggae rhythms with soulful singing. They kept recording into the 2000s with albums like 'Push and Shove' and 'Outside.'

Désert left the band in 1998, which led to a short break. They got back together and kept playing shows around Southern California for years after that.
