Herdeiros da Graça

Herdeiros da Graça formed in 1985 in Rio de Janeiro, started by three brothers named Alex, Leandro, and Anderson Costa. They came from the city's favelas and began writing songs that connected with people in similar neighborhoods. Their song 'Aviso de Deus' became a breakout hit in 1995, reaching a national audience with its straightforward message of hope.

The Costa brothers share lead vocals, with Alex handling most of the singing, Leandro writing much of the material and playing multiple instruments, and Anderson on drums. Their music has gospel roots but incorporates Brazilian rhythms like funk and samba. Other songs like 'Abraça Minha Vida' and 'Em Todo Lugar' followed a similar pattern of direct, melodic faith-based music.

They released several albums including 'Sujeito Homem' in 1997, 'Alma Viva' in 2000, and 'O Amor É Mais Forte' in 2006. The band's story includes personal difficulties alongside their musical work, though they've continued performing their blend of religious and popular Brazilian styles for decades.
