Heregys formed in Buenos Aires during the 1980s with Alfredo Rosso on vocals, Claudio Marciello on guitar, Guillermo Rouco on bass, and Mario Ian on drums. Their debut album 'Heroína' came out in 1986, and its title track became a staple of their sound. They followed it with records like 'El Club de la Muerte' in 1988 and 'Instinto' in 1991.
Their music, which included songs like 'Renascimento' and 'Superatividade Continua', resonated with listeners in Argentina and elsewhere in South America. The band's live shows were known for their energy, and they toured through Latin America and Europe.
Lineup changes happened over time as members worked on other projects. Rosso dealt with health and addiction issues during his time with the group. Heregys kept recording and playing into the mid-1990s, with albums like 'Maldito' in 1993 and a live set from Luna Park in 1994.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
