Herencia de Patrones formed in 1998 around brothers Juan and Javier Cruz. Their debut album 'Es Dificil Ser Un Santo' came out in 2001, which is also the title of one of their songs. The band's current lineup includes their cousin Cesar Gonzalez on bass alongside the Cruz brothers.
They've released several albums over time, including 'Patronas Y Patrones' in 2005 and 'El Valor De Un Varón' in 2016. Some of their other tracks include 'Crimes,' 'En El Laboratorio,' and 'Historia de Los Barrios.'
In 2007, the band dealt with a legal dispute over music rights that led to a temporary break. Their lyrics have drawn criticism at times, though they've maintained it reflects certain experiences. They've collaborated with other artists on songs like 'Pa' Que Sepan' with Grupo Triple L and 'Llegue Pa' Hacer Billetes' with Gera MX and Oregel.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
