Heresya formed in Spain in 1995. Their debut album 'Heresy' came out in 1997 and stirred up some trouble with religious groups over its themes and cover art. They kept going, releasing albums like 'Apocrypha' in 1999 and 'Nemesis' in 2001.
In 2004, they put out 'Floresta Negra,' which included the title track and songs like 'Cinzas da Cruz' and 'Guerras Tribais.' The band's lineup has included Juan Santamaría on vocals, Juan Carlos Godoy and Luisma Jiménez on guitars, David Fernández on bass, and Jesús Arispont on drums. They've released several more albums since, including 'Resurrección' in 2006 and 'La Profecía' in 2017.
