Their sound was built on close harmonies and romantic ballads, with other songs like 'Adivinanza' and 'Chacha Linda' filling out their catalog.
They worked with composers like Armando Manzanero and Agustín Lara, and put out albums such as 'Canciones de Amor y Recuerdos' in 1948 and 'Noches de Bohemia' in 1950. In the 1950s, there was some noise about 'Estúpido Cupido' borrowing from a Chilean folk tune, but the brothers said it was their own. Javier, the oldest, had the lead voice.
