Hernán Y La Champions Liga

Hernán Y La Champions Liga formed in 2004 around Hernán Hernández, who started as a street musician in Mexico City. Their sound mixed traditional mariachi with contemporary pop, which drew some criticism from purists but found a wider audience. Their debut album came out in 2008, also called 'No Digas Nada' after the title track.

That song 'No Digas Nada' became their most recognizable piece, a ballad that connected with listeners across different age groups. The album's success put them in the conversation in Latin music circles for a while, though details about their later work are sparse. They had another song called 'El Rey' that faced plagiarism accusations, which the band denied, saying they'd reworked a traditional melody with their own arrangements.
