Heroica formed in 2004 after the dissolution of the band Resgate, with Rogério Skylab bringing together musicians including guitarists Pedro Pelotas and Arthur de Faria, bassist Fernando Quesada, and drummer Ivan Machado. Their name comes from the Greek word for 'heroic,' though their early years involved financial struggles while they built an audience through live performances.
In 2007, their debut album 'Ordem, Progresso (E Amor?)' gave them their breakthrough with the title track becoming a hit in Brazil.
They've since released albums like 'Parada Inglesa' in 2011, 'República dos Bananas' in 2015, and 'Júpiter' in 2019. The current lineup remains Skylab on vocals and guitar, Pelotas and de Faria on guitars, Quesada on bass, and Machado on drums.
