Their song 'Nordeste Brasileiro' became a hit in 2007, the same year they released an album by that name. The lyrics about Northeastern life sparked some criticism, but the band stood by them as an honest take. They put out five albums between 2005 and 2015, starting with their self-titled debut and ending with 'Resistência'.
They won a Prêmio da Música Brasileira award. Their music often dealt with social issues like poverty and racism, and they were seen as figures for young people in their communities.
