Heróis da Noite formed in São Paulo in 1985, with founding members Marcelo Nova on vocals, Andre Chamon on bass, and Tavinho Fialho on drums.
Their music leaned toward hard rock, with later albums like "Rumo ao Céu" (1989) and "O Silêncio dos Inocentes" (1991) showing some blues and reggae touches. Other songs in their catalog include "Exagerado," "Foi Você," and "Quando Universos Colidem."
Marcelo Nova and Andre Chamon remained consistent presences through lineup shifts that at various points included guitarists Sérgio Britto and Rodrigo Santos. The band faced the usual internal and financial strains that come with the territory, but kept recording into the mid-1990s with albums like "Herois" in 1994.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
