Hey Marseilles

Hey Marseilles formed in Seattle as a six-piece collective with Matt Bishop on lead vocals and guitar, Philip Kobernick on guitar, Sam Anderson on bass, Erika Forster on violin, Nick Ward on cello, and Jacob Anderson on drums. They took their name from the French city of Marseille. Their first album, 'Peppermint,' came out in 2010, followed by 'To Travels and Trunks' in 2013 and a self-titled record in 2017.

Their song 'Eyes On You' gained significant attention online, becoming what some described as a viral sensation. Other tracks like 'Bright Stars Burning' and 'Cities' also appear among their most recognized work. The band's sound mixed folk elements with indie and alternative approaches, often built around Bishop's vocals and the string arrangements from Forster and Ward.
