Himesh Reshammiya was born in Mumbai in 1973 and started playing keyboard as a child. His father Vipin Reshammiya was a music director, which gave him early exposure to the industry.
His career shifted in 2003 when he worked on the film 'Tere Naam.' The title track 'Bewafa' became widely popular and helped establish him as a composer and singer. He went on to work on films like 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' and 'Aksar.'
Songs like 'Jhalak Dikhlaja' and 'Bewajah' show his range from energetic dance tracks to more melodic work. He has recorded with singers including Alka Yagnik and Sunidhi Chauhan.
Some listeners initially found his vocal style unconventional, but he continued working in his own way. He has also released albums like 'Aap Kaa Surroor' and 'Aap Se Mausiiquii.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
